IF we win tonight
We will be one point behind Everton, Who a lot on here said they most wonderful manager and have acted in the transfer window how we should have.

We will be one point behind Arsenal

3 points behind Liverpool, Everyone practically begged to suck off their manager after last weeks win against Arsenal.

So we have had a shit start. But it isn't the end of the world.

We know we can do better, we could ask for best owners, we could ask for the best manager, we cold ask for the best players. But we are West Ham and that's not what we are all about.

All i ask for is the players play as if one of us would if we got a chance to, albeit with their skill and not ours.

Remember that it starts on the terraces and we will be there long after everyone on the pitch and in the directors box, so let's get behind the team tonight and show them what being West Ham is all about.

2 1 west ham tongiht

The league table looks a lot better tonight. Only in the relegation zone due to GD, which is shocking because of the goals conceded. Goals scored we are mid-table.

The team will feel a lot more confident after the win.

Good start. Some people around me were already booing certain WHU players names when the teams were announced.

As I've said before a win tonight will mask how poor we are playing. It's not the points total that bothers me but the fact we are lethargic, disorganised and look lost in the majority of games.
If we were creating chances and playing football then the losses are more palatable.
Unfortunately even a 0-0 draw will be seen as progress given the amount of goals we are conceding and their good start.

What a lot of fans do not realise unless they watched any of Huddersfield game is that Wagner like Klopp is employs the "Gegen press" counter attacking tactic and has his teams super fit to be able to do it all over the park.

This is kryptonite to West Ham teams over the last 5 years and especially under "Uncle Slav" and his Rush Green Holiday Camp regime.

Bilic is trying to implement a counter attacking strategy without pace and fitness or (intensity as it is now called) and, at the same time, trying to fit in all the buys he has made in the last 2 seasons in a 4-2-3-1 formation. He has not worked out that he does not have the players for the tactic or formation.

Because they will be pressing us relentlessly I expect to see another "mistake" or two as Bilic calls them when trying to excuse the underlying tactical problem. Just hope we can find a way to score a few because I am pretty certain we will concede as the stats since Bilic has been in charge show we are as leaky as my dungarees.

Re: IF we win tonight
I think we'll win tonight. Don't know why or even how given we have been dreadful but I think we'll turn them over.

My concerns are Ayew, Obiang and sadly Noble who I respect but his time in the prem is now drawing to a close.

The media are revving it up to be something like Custers last fucking stand, which it isn't, but it is hugely important for our confidence in the manager.

But the players have to perform. Billic can't do anything once they are on the park other than adjust tactics but giving the ball away, making wrong/bad decisions, not working hard enough are all down to the players.

But - when all said and done, I think we'll win tonight.

I fucking hope so..
